he came in from richmond to see dylan and i and let me take his portrait before heading back home for the summer.

nall loves his height. he loves the way he view the world because of it. getting a new perspective on how a physical attribute can greatly affect your world view is refreshing.

transitioning from childhood to adulthood is new and uncharted territory. growing into who you are can be challenging. the way you see yourself is constantly changing.

nall and i talked about law school and his changing world. it can be hard to see the person you're becoming and the person you've been in one body. keep tying, keep looking.

other's perceptions can have such influence on how we see ourselves. nall shared some of his law-school wisdom with me this morning.

sometimes we must be what we know we are, even when other people can't see it in us. being proud or courageous or confident, even when only you can believe it, that's important. you are your biggest fan. others do not define you.
